Jory Katlin became president and CEO of Maurice Sporting Goods in 1986.  As a third-generation leader of Maurice, Jory expanded the business to nearly $400 million to become the largest distributor of sporting goods in North America employing up to 1,000 people in 3 countries.

Jory Katlin is a graduate of Tulane University and received his law degree from DePaul University.  As a sporting goods industry leader, Jory founded The Sports Authority in 1989, which grew to over 450 stores throughout the United States.

Jory has been married to Jill for 38 years and they have three grown children and two grandchildren.  Since retiring in January 2020, Jory enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, traveling, and devoting time to other business and charitable interests.
